Yeah, I like the final frame in the first one as well. It's just that the mouth seems to move to quickly, LOL.

Good start! Pretty impressed. Try making them a little more CrystalXP style. Mainly eyes, mouth etc. look too 'sweet style'.

Glomp is supposed to be sweet style! The mouth looks fairly CrystalXP to me; but I can't do much about the eyes, I don't have the original CrystalXP smileys to compare them with ... imitating styles is a little difficult with lines as thin as 0.5px.

You know, it's odd how the English and French sections always have different opinions. They seem to agree with me that the second one is better because the open mouth makes the animation look better.

And I take it you only mean the closed eyes which are in the forms of dots? Please provide explicit instructions (suggestions) before I start improving, as it is not easy to modify animations once they're made.

AND WHY IS NO ONE ELSE USING MY GLOMP!!!

I like it, but as I said it should be slowed down a touch. I also think that they crystalization (the white part) shouldn't be so transparent.

Oh, and you mentioned something about the original emoticons, I believe they are available to download in the gallery.

EDIT: OK, here's the problem. I've increased the shine's opacity and slowed them down by 20 milliseconds per frame, but when I make the eyes longer or more elliptical, the smileys just don't seem as sad or bored as they did earlier. So I think I'll keep the eyes as they bring a very convincing effect to the face. I am however, thinking of extending the smiley to make it seem more continuous. I'll let you see when I'm done.

I'm on OpenSuSE Live DVD, and the smilies are going faster... on Safari on Vista they are really slow and jumpy

That's not my fault. Most platforms don't handle GIFs correctly. In XP, if you view them on the OS as preview, they're fine. But if you view them in Picture and Fax viewer, they're too slow and the images also flicker slightly. There are(were) problems in IE as well. It's not my smiley, same with all GIFs.

And here's the new, continuous version; I think it looks much better now. The animation is smoother, looks more cystallized, and it's an infinite glomp attack! Spare no-one! GLOMP GLOMP GLOMP!
