Wow It's famominal. I just installed it. It's alot more organized and the theme of it is really nice

I think WLM 9 is cool, but I hate when products get bloated. And thats exactly whats happened to MSN/WL messenger. In the days of MSN messenger, it was "light" and pretty cool but now its heavy and has tons of useless features.

I prefer Pidgin IM

I dunno about this new version... changing the colour fails badly And I don't like this new "note" style. All it's done is stick a bullet point at each sentence. That is driving me mad. Anyway to disable it?

On default colour the colour fades into white so it matches up with the window, change the colour and that white gradient fails and you get a nasty wall of contrast.

I notice your border around your DisplayPic is red on the conversation window, how do you change the colour? Mines green still (Though I do like green )

And I'm liking the display pics etc on the right, liking it a lot And the little pop up menu when you hover over a contact looks really good.

Except my today window keeps opening in the top right of my screen, but it's too high so I can't close it (Have to right click on taskbar) and I can't get it to come down

EDIT 2: Finally the mail opens in your default browser... I can click without fear

Edit the note like thing is actually ok, since I only just realised it adds messages on top of the last one if you typed last, so no more evil "Blah Blah says" when you type another thing straight after

The colours match your status:

- green=available

- red=busy

- orange=away

Cool effect happens when you change your status=> try it out

And I actually Really like the jot point thing- makes msn look more clean

Perhaps MSN notices wether you use a @live or @hotmail account. I wonder what it will do if you use a @gmail account.

I use a @hotmail account and it used to go to hotmail.com -> any reasons why it all of a sudden went to msn.com?

Maybe they did a secret "google" style update when you weren't looking?

I have got no idea really.   Perhaps there's or there will come an option for this in the final version.

And Vista keeps trying to install SP1, I don't thnik it realises I don't have time for that

I guess installing a Service Pack is saving you time in the end when you get caught by a stubborn virus. Also, Service Pack 1 dramatically boosts copy time from USB's.

Oh I know that, it's just it keeps appearing when I haven't got the time to install it I did install it before but it screwed up big time

Advertisements are finally gone and other miscellaneous stuff that the A-patch previously did can be removed.

Never known of A-Patch. Pretty cool I say.
Will have to test WLM with A-Patch sometime soon.. Maybe I'll dump Pidgin and move back to WLM..
