Last message on previous page:
Well, it took me about 3 hours to do it, but I've finally created it!!

Just reads the name from the XML file and creates its title automatically!! Now, so far, I've only added a-z, A-Z, space, hyphen (-), and the number '2'. So these are the only ones you can use right now.

This really is great, as it not only speeds up the program by the time it would take to download the titles' images, but it also means we don't have to spend tedious hours creating their images. :biggrin:

I couldn't attach this here, the file size is too large. :he:

Download: You can download it here.

Getting better :great: But could you make the space between each letter less, as it's almost the same size as the space between words :err:

Decreasing the size between the letters won't be so easy... Would it be OK if I instead increased the space between words?

Are you planning to make the images loop so when you hit previous on the first image, it would link to the last?

Haven't decided that. It won't really be that difficult. This is the code to that:

CODEif(tuxnumber<0)
    tuxnumber = TuxName.Count-1;
Basically, what that means is that if you click the previous button and you are already on the first tux, it takes you instead to the last one.

Currently, however, it is set to:

CODEif(tuxnumber<0)
    tuxnumber = 0

This takes it to the first tux. That's how it is right now.

PS - I solved the letter spacing problem. :yipi:

PPS - Gruzz and Asher, if you're reading this, take a look at the Code boxes above!!! They're disgusting! You should make them look better. :tongue:

I can help with the programming as well if that's possible. :oui: Haven't tested out the new version, currently on a Macintosh.

PS. what's wrong with the code boxes? :wink: They're supposed to be clear. :smile:

Yes, the bar looks out of place.  :beurk:

If anyone wants to help out, you can help add tuxes. Just use this code:

CODE<Tux>
    <number></number>
    <name>Tux Name</name>
    <author>Tux Author</author>
    <tuxURL>URL of 256x256 image of tux from CrystalXP Tux Factory</tuxURL>
    <Description>Description for the tux</Description>
  </Tux>

More than programming, we need ideas. We need to know exactly WHAT we're going to do with this. I really don't know what more to do with TuxCards, except maybe make it look better. :neutral:

I was just thinking, what if we had the Support Link go to this thread, not the forum home?

I'm going to start work on the second page. I'll try to come up with descriptions as I can.

Unfortunately I don't play GTA so I can't say anything for the first.

You may wish to review my Dr. Cox and JD description as I'm not the most avid Scrubs watcher in the world, but I do watch it from time to time.

I have absolutely no idea what to say for titux

I'm not going to do the soccer ones either as I am not big on sports and have no idea what to say

The support link is for the full release only. :tongue:

And yes, then of course we'll put a link to the direct support thread. :wink:

Anyway, here's today's work:

Download file: v009.zip

Includes a new sidebar (rough draft only) and its contents, including About Box and EULA. Also added an interesting feature. Drag the thing around, and see if you can spot it. :wink:

And once again, I find myself changing the format for the XML file... This time, I'm adding a section called DownloadPage. Just put in the download link to the tux in the TuxFactory here.

So, the final code becomes:

CODE<Tux>
    <number></number>
    <name>Tux Name</name>
    <author>Author's name</author>
    <tuxURL>URL of Tux in 256x256</tuxURL>
    <Description>Description for Tux</Description>
    <DownloadPage>Download Page URL on Tux Factory, CrystalXP.net</DownloadPage>
  </Tux>

Nice, but it's not OK to make such a large one. When you compress it, all the tiny details like the glow and the outline will disappear or distort. :tongue:

Smaller, please!

EDIT: Here's something else that I need:

A splash screen image for our program. You know, an image that is displayed when the user installs TuxCards. Obviously, it should include tux. :wink:

I started a splash image. I don't know what you want it to say but, here is my template:

EDIT: And a rather basic support banner:
