| ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Last message on previous page: Ok, new topic sounds good, let's organise this Have a specific topic for planning the game out, as opposed to this one which was originally just to show an idea I think no animations is good, we should focus on keeping it nice, simple, and not fancying it up too much, that's what leads to never ending deadlines. I think we should have rules on the cards, like on the attack/defense values (Or whatever we chose to use for the game), and also no tuxe cards should be accepted for the game until they have been "validated", so everyone agress that they are fair, and not made like 99999/99999 And people who can program... well, I can program a bit Depends how we want the game to be made will change how we make it, and also what language we use. If we make it in flash then we are looking at AS2 or 3, and I can help there I have Flash CS3 and I do know some AS. If we were to make it another way, like a windows or web app we would be looking at things like VB and C++, which I'm less knowledgable of, though there are people on the forum who know these and php and java there should be some people who know them (I am learning myself) Can't wait to see more ideas from you headbuster Tux FTW!!! | |

uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | I suppose I could do the programming part. I know C++, C#, Visual C++, Visual C#, HTML, Flash (with a little AS), PHP... and maybe some more languages -- can't remember. Just make sure you first get permission to actually submit it on this site. It'd be a futile attempt if we couldn't get at least ten thousand people to download it.
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | I'm sure as long as we use tuxes, dont break any copyright, and keep it clean it'll be allowed on the site, as "official" as it were. And wow, I didn't realise how many languages you knew! I see you're a fairly big "C" guy
headbuster Profil: Penguin | Forming up teams isn't a bad idea! Card programming resources etc
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Card Validation Team, Programming Team... what resources? And what are the etc?

Cerberus1991 Profil: Big Penguin | I would like to be part of the Card validation team
headbuster Profil: Penguin | I may participate in Programming! I can help a little and with validation and moderation
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | You just want to be in every team don't you I want to be in Programming team, I might be able to help in some ways, and I'll be able to learn at the same time

Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Not sure why we would need the back of a card at the moment. But... I'll bring out the .psd file as soon as my own internet is fixed again. That might still take a few more days though.
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | @Headbuster It might be hard to decide what the back of the crad will be like, if we are making it like crystal xp... I think if you press "Alt+F4" the CrystalXP website will flip round so you can see the back
headbuster Profil: Penguin | "ah what happened firefox closed when I pressed alt+f4! You must be lying " Ok then no back of the card

That is the funniest thing I have read all day!!! I needed that laugh, thanks!
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | No problem I think he was thinking of using the back of the card to make a cool 3D game with flip effects and stuff... ohh the pretty!
headbuster Profil: Penguin | Yes that is correct! I was thinking that ! But tha is going to happen in the futture
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Is this going anywhere at the minute?
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | My replacement router just came in, so I can use internet again. I'll have a look at this tomorrow during the day, make a standard .psd file and then you're all able to do with it what you want.
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | A day later then promised, but here it is. I locked the layers which shouldn't be editable and gave them a blue color. The layers that should be edited have an orange color. The hardest thing to decide on was the fonts which where used. I gave all of the layers a name, which includes the font name. So if you haven't got the font specified, you can do a search for it. I hope this .psd file will help you and is clear enough.
uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | All the description text is showing up as ???? marks for me. Which version of PS are you using?
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | I'm using Photoshop CS3. Do you mean the description text as in the image you see, or in the layers palette?
uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | I meant the actual description in the image, not the layer palette. I guess it's because I have CS2...
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Perhaps you should check if you've got this font installed on your system.
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | I got that when I didn't have Denmark installed, so it's probably the font isn't installed Thanks for the card Gruzz
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Do you like it? / Is it clear enough to be edited?
