ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Aw he's so cute!
uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | Here's mine: I gave the tux a slight Bevel and Emboss and put it on top of the white shine to make it look as if it's a little "raised". What do you think??
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Not too sure about the Bevel and Emboss, but it does look better above the shine And a good description for him
headbuster Profil: Penguin | Good job! It does look better above the shine
darklady Just remember, art saves lives. Profil: Big Penguin | Woohoo, I am glad to see this getting put to good use Very nice ones
headbuster Profil: Penguin | We should make decks like working tux, movie tux, super hero tux and so on
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | We should find a way to make some rules, we could have a tux card game then!... but what kind of card game?
headbuster Profil: Penguin
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Wow this could turn out to be a really good project! I think Gruzz's idea of making a base psd that will give correct sixes and fonts is good, that way all the cards will be consistent, and people can download it and use it to make their own, so anyone can contribute. We shall have to put some thoughts to rules, in how the game would be played... And making a web application, or a multiplayer game would be an idea... we shall have to see if we can find some good programmers on here who can help... I beleive Uttaresh has some programming experience And rniamo is making a multiplayer web game at the minute, so he might be able to help us with this... But I'm thinking too far ahead I think Gruzz should do that psd And we should put some thought to how to play the game, in terms of how to win/lose, what you have to do, will it be like a TopTrumps kind of game? Or some other form? Ideas!
headbuster Profil: Penguin | Here is the project website! I made it for 5-10 mins and I am still configuring it so... anyone who wants an account should tell me and I will make one http://www.creationcenter-bg.com/projects/ I hope you like my the idea for the site
headbuster Profil: Penguin | Oh ok... I thought it would be useful! I will leave it in case you make up your mind (I really like playing with web apps! One of my hobbies )
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | I don't think we need a website for this.. certinaly not at the minute anyway. If it's happening as a CrystalXP project, we should stick to the thread we have

Even if you can't make Tuxes for the cards, you can still help out! We still need to plan the game, get some ideas for it and different things, so you can help out there *And we'll need people to criticise the cards we make, to make sure they look their best and have the best descriptions possible
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Well since we need texts on the cards as well, I'm sure that's something you can participate with if you want. Being an native English speaker is surely going to help. And don't forget that .Ghost.'s comment is very true.

Righto. just a suggestion: you could make the game out of flash. and do some kind of battle system ... if its like yu-gi-oh or pokemon trading card games (was researching on card games). And at the bottom right hand corner of the card, you can put the tuxes attack and defence.
headbuster Profil: Penguin | The first card I made was with attack and deff but I don't know why they removed it Tomorrow I will post some demo rules, game ideas and stuff I am tired now so
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | We could make it with flash yes... that would be an interesting approach, thouh it would make it harder to make it multiplayer. But another approach we could use headbuster wrote :

They didn't remove it... it says 1850/2000 I can see it in your first post.

ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Oooh as in they didn't add it. Oh wow! Club Penguin! I used to play that my mate introduced me to it, and, well... it was kind of adictive Though I haven't played it for a couple of years... I wonder what's changed... But yes that is a professional game, one that sides along the likes of BattleOn and Runescape, flash and java based games. Huge. One of my friends wanted to make a huge online 3D MMORPG a while back, and of course as with all things, he got me to go and work out how. Was so funny, he wanted a nice 3D sandbox engine that would do everything and I just had to keep looking at websites an then asking him if he had a spare £10,000

ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Ok, new topic sounds good, let's organise this Have a specific topic for planning the game out, as opposed to this one which was originally just to show an idea I think no animations is good, we should focus on keeping it nice, simple, and not fancying it up too much, that's what leads to never ending deadlines. I think we should have rules on the cards, like on the attack/defense values (Or whatever we chose to use for the game), and also no tuxe cards should be accepted for the game until they have been "validated", so everyone agress that they are fair, and not made like 99999/99999 And people who can program... well, I can program a bit Depends how we want the game to be made will change how we make it, and also what language we use. If we make it in flash then we are looking at AS2 or 3, and I can help there I have Flash CS3 and I do know some AS. If we were to make it another way, like a windows or web app we would be looking at things like VB and C++, which I'm less knowledgable of, though there are people on the forum who know these and php and java there should be some people who know them (I am learning myself) Can't wait to see more ideas from you headbuster Tux FTW!!!
