I was reading about Google's sidebar and decided to  downloaded Google Desktop since I'm a regular Google user.  It's really nice!!  It looks like Thoosie's Vista bar, but without the bugs and problems.  I tried Thoosie's but it was too aggravating to get the gadgets working.  If you use Google Desktop you're in for a treat!  I understand the bar was completely transparent before this latest update and some have complained about the changes made to transparent/opaque.  I was using Desktop Sidebar but missed the transparency that Thoosie's bar had.  This has the transparency plus loads of gadgets that you can add.  Love the cpu/memory gage and the world face analog clock.  If you're a Google Desktop fan ,check it out you'll be very pleasantly surprised!!

I was a little skeptical at first  when I read about it, and was truly amazed at how much it looked like  the Vista sidebar, but most importantly, without the problems of Thoosie's version.   I got so frustrated trying to get the gadgets on that working that  I just removed it and tried Desktop Sidebar.  Although Google's isn't skinable (maybe in the future?) it really does blend well with all different types of wallpaper.
