Right I have a new idea for some Apple wallpapers I'm planning on doing. Below is a preview of the concept.
 

 
So what do you think? I think the shadows in the wavey parts are a little thick on this one and the highlights are a bit dodgey but this is only a test. Help appreciated!

Well, what you said yourself, and also the shadow in the top left corner doesn't seem right, being there at all. Also, I don't understand the significance of the wavy shape as I don't see the relationship to Apple with the wavey shapes.

But a nice start, and interesting mixing "brushed aluminum" with green.

The waves have nothing to do with the apple it's just to add more interest. Are you saying that maybe I should just take the waves out?

Right I decided the wallpaper looked to boring without the waves. Well I hope this one looks better. I've tried to improve the highlights. I decided not to take the shadow in the corner out because when I saw it without it, it didn't look right. However I have changed the shadow. The brushed alluminum effect has been changed as well. I hope you think it's better. This time it's wallpaper size.

Yeah intend on doing it in multiple colours. Green just happens to be the one I started with. Any other colour ideas besides blue?

The magenta from your avatar would be nice, as would be an orange to yellow gradient.

I'm not so sure about doing and orange to yellow because I didn't want to use gradients for the colours. However I'll consdier it. Also I wanted to do a something along the lines of a magenta coloured one too.

Your blue could be a little more vibrant, like your sig. Contrast against the light metal would look good. For the orange one, I meant that it would be orange, but for the lighter areas, use a Blending effect like Overlay or Colour Dodge or whatever that will make the lighter areas look slightly yellow. Like your blue right now is actually blue to cyan.

You see the reason my signature looks more vibrant is because it's more than one shade of blue and it's on white. I guess I'll try another colour. I don't want to go to light because then it would either be too pale or too cyan.
