Dunno... how many people who download icons off CXP have leopard? I'm sure they can easily resize... and if it's ona  dock it'll get resized anyway... and resizing wont make any differenc eon the final quality wether the icon is 256x256 or 512x512...

I would at first think 256 but then, better to have too much than not enough right?

The thing is, normally opening a 512x512 image takes four times as much as RAM as a 256x256 image. I'm not sure about RocketDock, though. Not everyone might have a computer powerful enough to handle that load.

Then there's also the fact that a 512x512 will be much larger (in size/MB) than a 256x256.

I would say to include a folder for the 512 and the 256

I'm using Leopard. Including a folder for two different sizes might not be a bad idea though.

Yeah. I mean, everyone can resize it for their own needs, but 2 sizes is probably better than 1.

I can't decide if I should keep the shine on this QuickTime icon or not.

By the way, I like my output... Shiny!!!

Keep the quicktime, however, I would line up the shine on the logo and the icon

I wouldn't, it gives it the 3d depth, which is important since the quicktime icon already looks 3d, having the gloss over both at the same place I think would make it seem flat, whereas the quicktime icon looks undoubtedly 3d-ish.

Or if it is the same place maybe it should curve a little over the icon... I think the depth shown with the gloss is important

There's a small error on the right down side of the Quicktime icon. It's on both of the versions.

But yes, everyone needs to be told they are doing well, it's a inferiority or rejection or a PHA1LUR3 complex. (I didn't take physchology, I took ICT instead )
