ghostnatyphon To die would be a great adventure. Profil: Penguin Pro | I don't think the folder fits with the camera Gruzz can only get on sometimes, and he might have started back at uni

Cyberteen Profil: New Penguin | really nice icons man
eagerly waiting for its release, chap!!
sensational_one Peace Keeper Profil: New Penguin | Great Icons. I have a question , you used a Real Camera as a Model when designing the icon , Right ?
uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | Yeah, it was my dad's Sony HDR SR-12 handycam.
sensational_one Peace Keeper Profil: New Penguin | Hmmm... ! I never used anything as a Model , just my Imagination until now. I better use Model things as well , it may reduce the time it takes to create something. Anyway , Goodluck with your work. They are great , only a bit of aliasing though. Advice on how to Reduce Aliasing (If you Don't mind) : This may happen if you create a shape , then Use Free Transform Tool to make it Bigger. Only Create a shape according to your needs.Don't create short one , then make them bigger. This maybe the cause of Aliasing. If you get Aliasing once , try to create that shape again.Sometimes this solves the problem. Regards , The One.
uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | Thanks, but I already knew that. No, it's not that. Photoshop just isn't very good with handling aliasing in very large images. That image is made 100% using vectors and the pen tool. There should theoretically be no aliasing. Sometimes you just have to find ways of smoothing it yourself, like duplicating the layer and using a slight Gaussian blur.
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | You can always use Illustrator for non aliased work. However, Illustrator doesn't have the same abilities to apply effects to layers. Which is something extremely often used in icon design. Also applying a gradient the way you want can be a real pain sometimes.
sensational_one Peace Keeper Profil: New Penguin | Yeah ! Guassian Blur is one way to do that and its a great thing. But then again , this problem maybe fixed in upcoming Phothoshop CS4. @Gruzz : Can't we import layers from Illustrator to Phothoshop ?
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | We can import layers from Illustrator to Photoshop. However, the real 'vector', which keeps the shapes smooth will be lost. It's the same problem that uttaresh spoke of. P.S. Photoshop CS4 is already released.
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | If you import form Illustrator, copy the layer (cmd/ctrl+c) and paste it into photoshop. Choose the smart object vector option. That should keep your vector options!
