They aren't cut, because you can see the shadow around them... perhaps some bad aliasing on the circle that's flattened the edges?

Well, Asher... I'm taking your advice on the mouse.

I tried to fix the shadow, here' what I've got. Also fixed aliasing a bit. However, about the Bevel and Emboss effects, I still can't find a better effect for the buttons.

Looking better I think, and I know what you mean about the old bevel and emboss, I never know what to use instead :err:

One thing, I don't think the perspective of the tiny tux is quite right... I'll do a paint-screenshot, see if I can show you what I mean...

http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x1/darthsmall9/Untitled2.jpg

The red lines are the "curve" of the mouse, if you get me, like... the way the top of it goes (But line not curve ) And the blue line is what, to me, the perspective of the tux...

I'm finding it really hard to explain... it might just be my eyes

I get what you mean, and I already knew the alignment of the tux was not right as compared to the surface of the mouse.

I just don't know how to fix it... Could someone help me out? :frown:

Transform it (Ctrl-T) and mess around with the perspective and other options (Right-Click(CtrlClick on a mac) until it seems to fit better?

No? Well, you learn something everyday! Probably more so on here

And good point the wallpaper and taskbar are a bit blurred, more the taskbar though, I hadn't noticed though

Just another little thing for Uttaresh to edit

I'm trying to make a wallpaper for my Icon Pack (which is still a long way from complete). This is just something I tried... I don't like it myself though. :frown:

Advice would be appreciated. :oui:

You seem to have put a lot of outer glow on both of the objects in your scene. I'd say the color variation is also a bit boring. Two things that, when improved, could make a big difference I think.

Thanks... that DID improve it a bit. But it's still dull. Maybe I should add something? Like some predefined brush effects?

You can achieve a lot with brushes. :oui: But it's pretty hard as well. Perhaps you can try to create some interesting looks by using the Filter Gallery. Perhaps duplicate the 'grey' looking layer, then apply something interesting and apply a transparent gradient to it so that you won't see that effect everywhere in the image. :oui:

EDIT - I'm now working on the camera icon. Here's a little preview.

Here's an update of what I have till now.

Oh, by the way, it's my dad's camera: the Sony HDR-SR12 and I'm looking at it and making it.

Personally, I think it's coming out pretty decently... but as always, constructive criticism is exuberantly accepted. :oui:

It's getting a lot better, but... the perspective of the lens bit is defeating me... shouldn't the bit nearest to you appear to be higher than the side further away from you? :err:

EDIT: Fixed that, and here's another peek.

I've been working really hard on this, there are literally thousands of layers... and it's disheartening to hear so few comments. :frown:

Here's an improvement in the Lens' perspective, as suggested by Gandolf.
