Hey everyone. Here's my first every Icon. My RSS icon for my website. Took around an hour (more or less). Yes, that is not the RSS signal logo. Its X.A.N.A. XANA is a virus from the TV Show 'Code Lyoko'. Reason I used it instead of the original RSS signal logo, is because it better matches my website.

What do you think?? *grins*:

As said before, nothing really resembles the RSS but in my opinion that doesn't really matter much. I don't really like the Bevel and Emboss on the text. It's almost the same as Lens Flare, you shouldn't over use it or it becomes too obvious and doesn't look nice. You should know that you can post singular icons in the Icon Box (it's a pinned topic). Hope to see more from you!

Looks like a letter from some ancient extinct language to me... nowhere near what I'd expect from an RSS sign.

Yeah, I must agree with that. I don't like the font nor do I like the thing in the middle.
I think you should try to make an orange RSS icon

But I am eager to see your upcoming icons. I am sure that they're will be icons I like

Thanks for the 'hard love'. Although I do have a regular RSS icon made. Problem is, I'm having trouble picking out a font that works. Any suggestions?

I don't know about fonts, but maybe you should apply the same texture on the "RSS" that you have on the symbol in-between.

The Help Icon is plain. I couldn't really do anything to it X-X. Also, should I remove the reflections??

I see that every icon have some texture. Maybe try to add texture to help icon?

I'll try. Here's a new one. I do not like it at all. It was suppose to be a disk, but it turned out all wrong, esp. the inter circle. Any wise advice? I really want to make a Disk Icon/Disk.

Aelitafan yours icons are nice..
I am not so experienced but i would like to say that if you are thinking a icon set then you must stick to a single theme so your icons looks from a single line of icon, try using a single font and texture....
and yeah it does not means that anything must be like your theme...e.g. vlc icon must be identified as vlc icon irrespective of the variations you made to it to fit your icon set.

I think you should keep the reflections but make sure they are all the same size, that way they fit together better. Like the garbage icons reflection seems much bigger than the others.
