I don't have any idea how to go about making all the different shapes that go into icons and then bringing them all together with some nice effects... amazing...

Anyone know of any good tutorials that might help me lol? preferably none from CrystalXP because I think I've read em all

I think he just read the tutorials referred to on the main site, and not all the ones in the Tutorials sub-forum.

specially the gradients and color selection is very wise and awesome which is actually the harder part of icon designing.

Yes, I have gone through every tutorial I could find on the Graphics Tutorial section from page 1 to page 5, and gone through the requests and other topics in the Graphics Novice Corner.

Told you I went through them all  

Like I said I had just got photoshop and I needed tutorials, CrystalXP came up on google, so I joined, went through all the tutorials on the Main Page Tutorials Section but since there were only a few there I checked the forums, and went on a mad Tutorial Rampage    And then found after exhausting all the tutorials I didn't want to leave!

Back on topic, hehe..

My favourite has to be those arrows, they look so cool and colourful! This is going to be an amazing pack

rahul123 Thanks for appreciation . Yes , there's a trick which I use for removing aliasing but it will take a tutorial to explain clearly

Ghost Thanks I agree that there are not much icon-tutorials in this forum , you can search on google but I didn't spend much of my time on icon tutorials , infact I first learned photoshop and then observed different icons

I don't really like the shape of the Windows Media Player (or whatever that it) icon.
I think its shape oval instead of round.

But they others are good - as usual

I don't think it'd look good if it was an oval... it wouldn't really fit with the rest of the icon pack, since they are all square or circular in the baic shape...

You've inspired me to start making icons now Asher and I'm just going to go ahead and try, no tuts, straight from just looking ^^

And both of the folders are looking great too!

EDIT: Well I'm definately going to read that anti-aliasing tutorial

Legace I've designed that icon for WMP11 and it has a different look , it is 3D blue ball with a steel ring around it , if it doesn't look so then do inform me

That box looks better than the older versions But I think there is a problem in the shadow

Whereabouts is the light on the box coming from Asher? Looks to me to be directly above, in which case the shadow seems fine...

Oh, it does seem ever so slightly further out on the left, literally by a pixel or two.. or is it just my eyes? I'm wearing my contact lenses so...
