Not 100% sure how this works.  But I have been working on a small set of icons for the last couple of days (im my spare time of course) and would like to submit them here.  Though they are uploaded to my site instead of a free hoster...

I know that these things have been overworked, but I thought they were really good to start off with.

I just downloaded the whole package. What I liked was the shape of the cross, the heart and the stop sign. The shape of the arrow to the right was ok as well, but the one with the two arrows - I didn't really liked that one. Also the reflection on the globe isn't really well. :ouch: It looks like the reflection on the head of the buddy. Oh, the buddy icon on itself looks pretty well! :happy2:

I think the globe is somehow off position and weird looking. But otherwise a good pack

Yes, it's very good! It's just that the colors don't mix well with the buddy now. I hope you liked the tutorial though, it explains pretty well how to achieve a good result.

Colors are not that hard to mess around with.

I like that tutorial though!  Really helpful!  Thanks

Hi DarkLady,

Your buddy icons are quite pretty good but try to use some gradients on the buddy because it look too simple to me.
And I think Gruzz is right, the buddy colour doesn't go with the globe's colour, that's why you should use gradients.

Is it me or the outline is thick?

Actually I was trying to keep them simple.  It does have a slight gradient to it.

The outline is rather thick though.  When I was putting them into .ico form, I had to add the thicker outline, otherwise it just did not show up the way I wanted it to.

I can cut down the outline though

EDIT:

Like this?
