This is my first post and my first work. I coudn't find any descent icon for the deskspace program so I created one myself. Amature work but everybody needs to start from down below. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to CrystalXP. Your icon surely looks nice. If you want any more tips for icon creation in Vista, look at this website from Microsoft. It's pretty interesting to read trough once. I think you overused the shadow a bit in this icon, I advice to decrease it a bit.
