Well, since it has shadows and lighter areas, I'd say that the image has specific lightning applied to it.  

I think you're confusing "lightNing" (as in what comes before thunder and during storms) and "lighting" (as in the luminosity conditions).

The modem, however ... the holes on the right don't feel right. The perspective looks a little messed up. I don't know though ... let's wait for someone else's opinion.

The icons look good so far Asher, though I agree with Uttaresh that the perspective of the holes on the left looks off in comparison to the rest of the box... of course it could be an optical illusion of sorts because of the amount of holes and the brain not following in sequential order... happens a lot when I look at graph paper.
