Well, I was browsing through Deviant Art, and I noticed how few icons there were on nature ... just one. Even that was more about Japanese spa centers and not about nature itself. So, I decided to create one myself. I tried two versions: a combination of wood and stone, and a combination of green gradients and stone w/ moss. The latter appears more "striking", so that's what I'm going for now.  

I may improve these later, like add some trees or wood or grass or water or ... something. So without further ado, here they are:

good concept and well implementation of your idea on those icons I like the firefox icon most but there's always room for improvement.The Quicktime icon looks good to but the black shadow can be replaced by darker green color the shapes seems to be ok though.
Are you planning to add shadows later?

Nice start so far. Perspective on a 3D finder icon is hard, but I think you should have a look at it again. It's looking pretty weird, the nose should be around the middle of the icon, whereas now it's too much to the right.

Only things that I see are (shadows and finder nose as mentioned) but also to me the earth on the FF logo doesn't look spherical, it looks flat and the fox just on top, not "wrapped around". Also the circle on the monitor desktop doesn't seem to follow the perspective of the monitor.

For Finder, I know his nose isn't right, and that he is wider than the actual one, but I did that deliberately. It has nothing to do with perspective.

The globe looks spherical to me, I don't know what you're talking about ... I added all the shadows and reflections needed. I do, however, realize that the fox doesn't look like he's wrapped around the globe, and I was originally upset about it. However, once you put all my icons together in RocketDock, you'll see that they all fit together -- including the FF icon. Take a look for yourself, if you still think it's not right, let me  know.

EDIT 2: Here's one for the iPod. Took me hours to make!

Just added the wallpaper shown in the monitor icon.

And now I've added a firewall icon.

I've also tried to improve the firefox icon as per Ghost's suggestions. The fox looks a little round now, and I have added a central highlight to the globe ... so it should be better, too.

The FireFox icon looks better, I think the globe only didn't look round because the fox stood out so much.
 
Great work on the iPod, I love the screen! The Firewall icon... something doesn't seem right... the goo/moss seems to be way too rectangular around it, perhaps... I don't know.
 
The recycle bin is good, though the contents of the bin, apart from the mail, - I have no idea what they are. Oh a circle of stone, but I can't figure out what the other one is.
 
The palette itself looks good, but the paint doesn't fit... it looks like it isn't actually on the palette.

The goo/moss in the firewall icon was originally cement/mortar. But then I noticed that it did not fit with the rest of the pack. So I made it green. I tried to soften it, but I guess it doesn't work. When you say around it, do you mean the way it is wrapped around each individual stone, or the way its edges are on the entire wall as one?

That's an envelope, a ball of stone, and a green paper. I didn't care much about the paper, that's why I put it in the background. When I create icons for more stuff, I'll put some other things in too to make it look fuller.

What do you mean it's actually ON the palette?

I love the screen itself, the gloss and everything - it just looks so 3D!
 
The palette and paint thing... the palette is the 3D object, but the paint doesn't appear to be on the palette itself, it appears to be on the screen. That's the best explanation I can come up with. The lighting just doesn't seem right...

Sorry, I've been really busy lately. I've had no time for anything. The only real comment that I have at this point is the moss on some of the rounded icons. The edges look a touch to squareish to me for something round and natural.
 
The wallpaper could use something more conventional as well. I get that it is to be simplistic, but I still think something else could be used.
 
Other than that, this seems to be a good pack!

I put the wallpaper in just in case someone decided they wanted the one from the monitor icon. It's not going to be the "official" wallpaper or anything. That's why I named it Wallpaper "1". That being said, with my icons in RocketDock and the Vista Inspirat theme, I think it looks beautiful on my 22" widescreen monitor! It. Looks. Gorgeous.

This is the media player example. It appears that the moss looks too sharp to be natural. I don't really know how else to describe it.
