I've done some programming.

a ping pong style game :
fps = 55

SWF file

HINTS:

  • Click the user pad (Blue) to toggle autopilot. (you are more likely to win  :intello: )
  • Click inside the ball to reset speed. ( if you can  :bad: )

oh !  ...and move your mouse (up/down) in game area to control your pad.

there may be some bugs also.. :mdr:

I win. Too easy. :mdr:

Great work! :great:

I thought I'd give Flash a go after so many months ... but it appears that my installation's ActionScript files are corrupt. At least ActionScript 3.0 anyway -- I'll see if 2.0 works later.

CPU won :(

Shouldn't it be an NPC?

When I lost it shouted at me, when I won it didn't do anything!

HINT: Just keep clicking the ball when it's slow, that way it never gets fast.

Oh, and I may be winning because I have a Logitech gaming mouse. You know, one of those precision ones with a dozen buttons. :p

EDIT: Win again! :)

Thanks.

Guys that's too easy. CPU misses 3 times and you win !
or just toggle the auto mode to watch CPU loose.

As far as mouse(which is definitely the most neglected part of a PC) is concerned, you all are right.

This is AS 2.0 , outdated now . Anyways, the environment doesn't really matters, I can do this in VB also.
actual programming is the understanding of applying logic.

EDIT:

@Neil   You siggy is cool.
I'm thinking of making some. a flash one.

Yep. Coding is the same for pretty much all languages; only the logic that matters. ;)

Nice game. :yes:

Neil, I doubt that his signature will be an .exe file! :lol:
uttaresh, in my opinion it is better to begin with Action Script 2. :) It's much easier then AS 3.

I didn't meant that his CrXP sig will be an .exe Gruzz  :beurk:
(I'm not that familiar with Flash yet due to my studies but it can do .exe files right?  :oups: )

Perhaps it is possible, but I am not aware of that function. By the way, .exe's only work on Windows. So when you got a Flash application, distributing a .swf file is much better in my opinion. :)

I'm not "beginning" with anything. I already have some experience with AS 2. :p I just thought I'd give AS 3 a shot. ;)

You could look into the source code of the webpage. I know Safari has got an option to see all Media Elements that are inside the page. Then you have to save this .swf file somewhere to your computer.
