awesome drawing does it indicate that the flower is protecting grass?

Wait, I think that the half of the flower on the right is dead and the half on the left is alive and vivid. So I guess the right side of the drawing is a barren wasteland whilst the left is a lively field?

EDIT: I'd love to win that tablet. I'm trying on another site, and I would try DeviantArt, but I don't really have anything to contribute that I can think of. It would be great to go from a tiny Wacom Graphire ET1 with 512 levels of pressure, to an intuos4 with 2048 lol.

Really nice work !

the scene is divided into, life,greenery and bliss on the left, and
dried,windy desert on the right. And I really like the shading work
on soft shadows. the grass , however is a bit dark.

I stopped hand drawing ages ago, but I'm considering it again now.
