I need a more talented artist to do the metal effects on an Iron Man Tux G2.

Yes that does indeed look awesome! What effects did you use for that? Special gradients and nice reflection work?

Just layer styles.  There is a couple of different textures and gradients combined though.  The bubbled glass effect actually came from an Eyecandy effect.
