But i need free pictures. I would like to do it with tuxs (and why not ice etc...).

- You can test a preview of the game here : my version (you need gtkmm and gtk+ runtime). You're a Shepherd and you have to do the biggest enclosure (without any wolf in a forest near the enclosure)

Also I'm afraid as I am english, and only speak English and German, I can't read the website the link is for, so do not know about the game there.

So do you just want the few tiles at the top, or would you like versions of all the tiles in the list at the bottom of the page, but with tuxes instead of sheep and so forth?

That's a heck of a lot of tiles... But if you can answer those then I could certainly make a start!

there are 2 kinds of men : hunter and shepherd. Shepherd could be a big pinguin (the "dad" ) , hunter could be a man (searcher who would like to protect tux ...well fox could be windows ) and for the fox a bear or a orcas...well a predator.

i don't know if Tiny tuxes can be good (maybe in fact) but there are not only the color but the draw too (lines/stars/circles...)

for the size 128x128 or 256x256 is enough for me, and for the format, i prefer png.

You need all the lines and circles and stars on the sheep to be on the Tuxes? Ok... And I didn't notice there were two men

but it isn't a lot of work to add stars, circles etc ... isn' it ? It is always the same tuxs and you just move a little bit, no ? is it to simple as method ?

Oh no, nice and simple I'll just make a small tinytux, copy it a few times and add stars/circles/stripes and then just copy and paste them onto the tiles ^^

I'll get started... probably fairly quickly, I need to make a tiny tux What time is it... 5... Well I've gotta go for a while, but I think I should be able to start doing these by about 10 tonight.. or 11... and if I stay up watching iRobot again for a few hours or so... I migh be able to get them done for tomorrow morning, probably about 3am, but I can't put them up till about 1pm, afternoon...

Anyway they should be done tomorrow

I dunno how complicated... i could probably pull it off, though I'm not too sure...

Wouldn't it affect the gameplay? Because if they were isometric the sides wouldn't match up...

edit : isometric is 45°, in the gae we see sheeps on the top, tiny tux are seen in front ... this is my problem ... but if you think it could be nice ... let's go

I was originally going to have the Tiny Tuxes all like the bottom one, facing forward, just in different positions.. which could look odd yea... hm...

Can you show how you mean by isometric? I'm not following you there...

isometric is for me ... but what you did was good... but if you have an idea, let's go, i'm not really artist.

Ok... I haven't managed to make them all

I've managed the polar "bear" the shepherd-type person (Just a G2 Tux) and the hunter and the tiny tuxes... And then some simple isometric tests... The grass has been replaced with snow, and the forest with ice, as requested... I had to add an outer glow, so that the snow would stand out on white backgrounds (Like that of CrystalXP) but it's cut at the edges so....

So, how do they look at the minute? I can change any bits you think might look better, as I haven't actually made any of the proper tiles so, fairly easy to change...

The building was slightly annoying as I don't seem to be very good at buildings...

i like the tile test but is it nice with 4 tiles around ?

about the sheep is it possible you change the drawing of the black and yellow for zig zag and square ?

about the evil polar tux : is it possible to see better edges ?

about the hunter, i don't know if it's easy but i prefer something more obvious (a super tux or a tux with an gun ...)

and  the sheperd has to be like the sheep (same color and drawings).

what are buildings for ?

edit : the unknowncard is nice but i think if you add all the colors/kinds of cards it could be better, no ?

Like I said they were only tests, the all the differen cards will be done, both front and back, just I havem't done them all yet, just these tests to see what you thought, and how to improve before I started the lot!

And don't worry the Shepherd will be the same style as whatever sheep he is with

I'll make the edges of the Polar tux stand out more, I'll change the sheep to black with zig zag and yellow with squares...

For the Hunter Tix I may need to go a searching, I'm not good at guns or super tuxes Well, unless you don't mind him holding an assault rifle!

The buildings are for the farm buildings on the tiles you showed me from the website, they had farm buildings (Like what I assumed was the starter tile) so... the building is in place of those.

By the way, what do you intend to do with all the tiles when they are done? As in, is this for a school thing, just to play with mates and family, or commercial?

the game with the sheeps was a game i played with friend last year. I changed school and we are not in the same school now (neither the same city) so i try to make a new version of this game which can play by internet. For now i'm doing a version which work on only one computer.

So it is neither for school nor a commercial use. I want to give my sources under the gpl licence so images must be under this licence too.

Well that's good it's non commercial, though dunno bout gpl...

Obviously I'll need to get permission to use these Tuxes on it, but since it isn't for commercial use, and you are releasing it under the gpl I don't think there should be any worries about getting permission to use one of these, just depends on wether or not the creator is still here and how quickly they check their pms!

Which one do you think would suit? Or is there another one, or even any one? Then I can either start asking for permission
