I'm looking for some Forum Badges for my SMF forum.

They take place of the default "Stars"

I'd like one for Admin, Global Moderator, and one for Moderator.

If you have done some work with these already, I'd be glad to take a look at what had been done already.

Tell me what size (in pixels), the colors, the text and other things you want done on them.

Also, do you want a glass effect on them?

Post back and I'll get to work on them tomarrow afternoon.

-Size: I don't know a specific size, but let me show you an example:

This the the varying size I will accept. If I had to say an image size... I'd say 85x22pixels seems a good size.

-Colors:

If you notice in the examples above, 1 of them says TP Support.
I'd like it to be S U I in place of the TP and the following to be replaced by Support.
NO SPACES BETWEEN THE "S" "U" "I" - FOR SOME REASON THIS FORUM SHOWS 'suis' WITH NO CAPS AND AN 'S' AFTER IT. - CASE SENSITIVE ~~~ SEE! I TYPE 'S U I' (NO SPACES) AND IT COMES LIKE THIS: suis
First one: S U I Admin
Second one: S U I Mod

Okay, for the third one, I don't know if this is final, so I don't know if you want to make it, because I'm waiting on someones feedback on it, she had Artist as the choice last time I checked with her. So if you want to do a third one... do:
Third one: S U I Artist

-Effects:

Whatever you think will fit the theme  (but not fully blend in so you can't see it or not look good ) . I hope the thumbnail and examples above give you a idea. I know you will have something in mind.

How about a darker variation of colors? I was thinking a Red with something else. Kinda to fit the dark theme, but stand out.

What I changed:
- Deleted the "glow" effect on the text
- Added a "reflection" effect on the text
- Changed suis background to red.

Do you prefer the background, or no background?

I also had a few ideas on what to add to the badges, just to make them a little better, please confirm any ideas you want:

- Graphics, adding a graphic or two to represent "Admin" "Mod" "Artist"
- Using different Title Background colors (Ex. Gold for admin, Blue for Mod, etc.)

Again, please keep in mind, anything at all can be changed.

Ok, I do like the red background better.

Also, I don't really care for the reflection, I like it without.  

I don't think I want pictures to represent the different groups.

I do like your idea about different colors for different groups, though.

Lastly, I like it without the glow better.  

I'm talking with my friend now and will give the link here see what she wants aswell (shes more Artist than me - i can't really speak my mind a whole lot good like this

Do you want suis (the text) to be green on a red background and then have title (the text) be red on a green background?

I want text to stay white.

I meant the backgrounds. Do the "suis" part green background, and then the "Name" part red background, and then switch. Red background for the "suis", green background for the "Name".

Thats my current result.

A few questions:

- Do you want the overall background (the white) or do you want it transparent like it is now?
- Do you still want different colors for each badge?, if so which colors (include both suis and title bg)?
- Anything else you want changed?

Howdy, sorry had a lot of errands to run today.  I really like the designs so far, but I'm not sure why we chose red and green for the colors, I was thinking more like metallic green and silver to match the colors at the top of the site.  I think I will go with S U I Artist for my title.  Let me know what everyone thinks of those colors, if you don't like them we can keep them your way cralor.

I don't fully understand what you mean by transparent / white bg?? It looks good, but if you could just change the colors to metallic green / silver that'd be awesome.

I've never done "metallic" colors before    (ya gotta keep in mind, i'm very new to graphic design), anyway, I gave it a shot.

As for different colors for the different names...well... there won't be many of us with one (for now, atleast) and although It'd be great to help signify the different names, I don't know which colors to pick.  

Atallicus will need a say on that, but I love that metallic design a lot.
