Hi,
I am launching a website (www.praxino.com) in October/November for a program called Praxino Budgeting.
I have been very impressed with the quality of work on CrystalXP, and so I hoping someone here would be interested in helping me out.
The site needs a webpage template designed. Once I have this, I can build the site myself.
The concepts I have right now are crude and not too good. I will post them at www.praxino.com/samples112.html so you can see. I was looking for a metaphor on which to base the site. A key factor is that I see film-making as a team effort and through its website, Praxino should feel like a part of that team.
I have also posted on the "Icons" part of the forum for a logo design, but that could equally be considered here.
As to style, well if you look at the images on the webpage mentioned above, the brief is pretty open right now. I am looking to be inspired.
But one lesson I have learnt is to stay away from anything too "in your face". I did have a toolbar designed for the app which had red buttons and icons, but it became apparent that whil this could look pretty good, it would become a bit hard on the eye if a user spent weeks looking at it. So I am looking for something less vivid, something cooler (not hot) to the eye and brain, but still with a wow factor.
This applies equally for the website and application, but the logo can be a little more exciting.
Shiny is fine as is matte - just so long as it is consistent.
I have attached a early designed splash screen below just to give you a clue as to what the logo might start off looking like. I hope the image is not too big and my apologies if it is.
If I can answer any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
With thanks,
Dominic
