I stumble on this forum during my search for some avatars and I must say, you are really amazing. Works are great... I love Tux gallery.
So, what's my problem/request...
I'm working on site with forum whose main subject is German Hunt Terrier. So, I need avatars for Administrator, Moderator and Veterinarian (VETERINAR on my language). I found really nice avatars for this purpose on forum, maded by user Asher... liked idea about shields with titles    ... But, It would be nice if I have some unique avatars. Can someone please help me and make something.

Max size of avatar mustn't exceed 80*80px!

So, it's desirable that titles be readable at that size.
Unfortunately, I can't read "administrator" when picture is resized.

What do you want me to do for the title. The reason it's not showing up could be because of either the font being too small, or the glass border/background making it blurry.

Any ideas will be helpful.

Perhaps you can just make an easier text and but it below or on top of the shield?

Put the Administrator on the white stripe.

That might be a good idea! Probably best to create a path with the Pen Tool first, then let the Text Tool follow the path.

In my opinion, little bit of both. It's hard to read title at 80*80px. Glass background is making font blurry, and font is just too small. So, if font could be larger, would be great.

Otherwise, white border/background with black font is perfect   , because background of my forum is in light gray/dark gray variety.

Forum is WIP... there's yet to be done some changes (fonts, links, buttons, tabs, etc... That is easy part of the job), but overall it's almost over! I hope so...

Alright, well, I made the text as large as I possibly could without changing the font or increasing the size of the image.

You can read it; however, just barely.

If you think the text is too small I could either:

Change it from Administrator to Admin

or

Change the font to a larger font.

Your choice.

Seems like if you only put Admin and Mod, the words might show up a little better.  Just my 2 cents

Like I said before, that's what I was thinking, I just wanted to make sure it was cool with the markoni.

Use Kartika font and it will fit.  

I'm not sure that larger font will be good. It just wont look nice. I'm not insisting on "administrator" title ... So, ADMIN / MOD are also fine...
VETERINAR would be desirable to fit in, but if it can't be done, "VET" is ok!

Hey, I'm really sorry about this, but:

I just got a new client I need to design a website for, so unforunately I'm not going to have very much time to finish the icons.

To make up for it I'm going to post the PSD and the XCF for anyone that could possibly finish the project.

Everyone has my permission to use the files to make an icon for markoni.

Since I've still got my own ideas I tried to create an other shield with text. Yes, I did went for an other approach with the text. I also couldn't really mix the white stroke with the shield, so I added a star. If you want any other colors/shapes, let me know. If you want something completely different, let me know as well.

It's all right, don't need to apologize. Sorry if it was difficult to work with information that I was providing, just... between exams, work and this project, my brain just went into stall... twilight zone with no ideas at all. Hey, I love it! Its different concept than Rays, but it's equally simple and nice. I just put avatar on forum to test it, and it's great. Easy to read title... excellent... Don't change a thing. Now, just need for "Moderator" and "Veterinar" ... maybe with different colors of the star!?
And if could be in 128x128 px, just in case... don't want to bother you latter in case that terms about avatar size are changed.
