Hi guys!
As you can easily see, I'm new here. Although I worked in PS before (just basic image editing and other simple tasks) and I can follow a tutorial, I kind of lack the talent ...
So, what I'm kindly asking you is a custom design for a program icon.
This summer, I intend to write a new piece of software that will do some administrator jobs automatically: it will deploy (install) software packages over a windows system. All this will be done unattended.
A software package like this already exists and is called WPI. Although WPI is a very good program and I used it for quite a while, it lacks speed. So I'll just take a shot at writing an application that overcomes some of WPI's faults (but it won't replace it completely). The problem is that I need at least a cool looking icon, not talking about the design I'll need later.
If anybody wants to make a try, here's a short description of the program:
Name: Mass Software Deployer (MSD for short)
Short description:CODEMass Software Deployer (MSD for short) is a graphical interface for unattended software deployment on any PC operating on MS Windows. Its purpose is similar to the full-featured, well-known hypertext application Windows Post Install Wizard (WPI). MSD is written in ISO/ANSI C++ and compiled using VS.net, so it should work on any Windows platform, without the need of having additional software installed (ie. .net Framework).
If anybody would like to make a banner too, that would be great (although I haven't written a single code line yet); I think it will be ready before the end of the summer, but I can't say for sure ...

PS: I took a look at some graphics in the gallery area and they are awesome. I really like the black stylish design of the OniCrystal Pack, so if that helps you, I like stylish tech designs, reflections and so on

Thanks! That looks cool, but it's a little too tall for the banner
If anybody wants to take a shot, I still could use an icon.
And of course, if everything works out nicely I'll implement some skins into the app, so more banners are welcome (any dimensions, but I'd prefer compact ones or at least not too big).

Well, it is smaller  
But I wasn't thinking at resizing it, I was more into making it wide but not tall (1024x64 for example). But I can't tell precisely how big it should be (at least not yet).
The only thing that I can say now for sure is that the icon should be square  
I'll leave the design of the main window for later and I'll base it on the banners I get from you guys (as I'll start writing the GUI after I have set up the classes and some functions).

Just out of curiosity, what are you programming in? I like to use C#.

I'm learning Visual C++ for this project (ANSI, not .NET as it has to run before the user installs it).
