Greetings guys  Man I am so happy I found this place   FYI: This is part of a final project for a comp-sci course not for profit or commercial use.  Project is for a create your own business within the field of comp-sci.

Ok so here is my request.  I have a logo that I need converted in an Icon.  Of course at the moment its 2D and I would like an icon made of the beginning part of the logo which is primarily an image.  I would like for the logo to be "3d" looking with that sexy gloss effect that makes these new age icons look so amazing.  

Also can you possibly make the whole logo look 3d with the same "gradient or texture effect" used in the icon, that would be great also.

I tried to do it on my own but graphic design is not my sport .  I had no idea it would be way out of my league, so I'm begging you guys to make it for me.....PLEASE.   Below are examples of what I'm looking for and the file of my logo.  Thanks guys hope you can save my arse .

1)The first image is an example of the concept I'm looking for.  The beginning image and text is used to make the icon.

2)Second image is an example of the gradient or texture I was talking about.

3)Is the actual logo that needs to be made into an icon. The screen, headset and text can be used in whatever creative way you guys see fit to make an icon.

If I understand right, we're talking about the "Bitwise" logo that has to be turned into an icon? What should the size of the icon be (in pixels)?

Yes correct my friend, The screen and headset with the text "Bitwise", I'm a novice at the icon stuff Gruzz whatever you think is best.  Make it at large as possible that would be my only parameter.  Thanks for giving it a go...its appreciated

Any news on this Gruzz?  Or can anyone else join in and assist me on this.  I would just like a crystallized glass icon made and the logo itself crystallized also.  PLEASE any help is appreciated...my presentation for this project is Friday.  So any help would be appreciated...

sorry for my absence, one question:

Would you like for me to vectorize the logo/icon?
with that done, you can just hit Ctrl+T and while holding Shift, make it as large as desired

a small suggestion from my side. the lower line text will look more crisp if without a glow. try making it that way.

-Shift-...... Wow I am amazed it looks fantastic   I mean I'm definately blown away by it  Are you also working in the 1280 X 1024 wallpaper?  Also with the wallpaper can you add like a shadow effect underneath the logo...like on the ground?  Thanks so much -Shift- you are the truth

Also remember to make the ico as large as possible.

i actually remade the whole computer thingy with the pen tool
and i made it for a reason: it i make the whole logo into an icon, it will look squeezed together, so i made a simple small one
i am working on the background, but, do you have any color choices or designs that you would like in it?

I have no idea just do your thing and if any edits are needed we'll go from there

Any progress on the icon or wallpaper -shift-?  If anyone else can contribute that would be great also just as an alternative, variety is always a good thing.

[very off topic]:   i think nagaya has borrowed his avatar from the shiningZ pack (i found it at vistaicons.com) there are also a lot of icon and png files in that site and they are quite nice. 256x256 crystals.

What was the point of your post  Please stay on topic in my thread thanks.  What I'm looking for is custom.  And -Shift- is currently working on it, but other artist are invited to join in also.  I can send you a PSD if need be if your interested.  I'm looking for my company logo to be made into a crystallized icon, custom wallpaper, and the logo itself.  

As I said -Shift- was working on it but I havent heard from him probably busy with life things  But I just needed this done so it would be one less thing on my mind.  So if anyone else wants to help feel free and contact me so I can send u the file.
