This Tutorial is supposedly simple to complete.  No one on the net I know of has completed this of all the forum searches.  And the creator is living in a cave.

Can anyone complete this tutorial with the replicated effect that is being shown in the link above?  
 
Please I'm really tired of searching for help on this, lol.
 
Chances are if you do come up with the desired effect it won't be by following all of his directions.
 
Would you share with the community what needed to be done that the tutorial did not show us?

When following this tutorial completely (except for the Liquify -> Bloat tool) I got this result.

By the way, it says "Resolution: 300 ppi, 8 or 16 bit". However, when you are in 16 bit, the effect 'Lightning effects' isn't available.

Gruzz that's not too bad at all!  In fact that's the best rendition I've seen yet.
The only thing is, I really wanna try to obtain the transparency effect.

oh man that is so close!  Maybe I'm not seeing the transparency because the text size is a bit small and thin.
it does look transparent a bit though.
 
see when I follow his directions and I go to apply the chrome filter the text shows up as black chrome and his white or similar.
I can't figure out what I need to alter.
