I'm using Photoshop 4.0, and I need to know how to transform a selection, without distorting the image.

I don't use Photoshop 4.0 ( ) but I think you can clic on a padlock or press Shift during transforming the selection  

Is there anything like 'transform selection' in Select sub menu??
If not you can press Ctrl+T to transform your selected area of an image or go to Edit>Transform>

I'm using Photoshop CS2 (9.0) so some of the ways may not be achievable for you

And 5.0, your avatar has aliasing effects around, I think you can edit them to get more likely one
