Hi ,

while making some sig , i dont know what i have done but some option got changed

so the problem is :
if i create a new document & i drag to it a picture , this picture does open on a new document
it doesnt drop on the old document

normally if we create a document & we drag a picture to it we can see the picture in the document
but the problem is; that picture open on new document
so i got 2 document , the blank first one & the second one with picture

hope you understand me

Thanks

Perhaps it's because the document you're trying to drag to uses other settings (amount of color, etc.). Else I am pretty sure that this is possible. :smile: Welcome to CrystalXP! :party: I'll move this topic to the Graphic Novice Corner for you. :biggrin:

Topic moved.

I face the same problem while dragging gif images , when you drag any image and it opens in a new document just copy the whole image from there and paste it on the document you want :wink:

Hi Thanks for you reply

@Gruzz

nope m8 it's was the same pic that i used before

@Asher

i tought i'am the only one that has this problem
but i cant find an option to copy the picture & drag it to the document

maybe there is an option to set option to default like with windows ?
but i cant find it

& i'am sure it only an option that make this problem because it was working normal last time before i made a sig but cant remember what option i did exactly

Thanks

Just select the image in one document, press ctrl-c to copy, then go to your other document and paste with ctrl-p.

Not a permanent solution, but it should be fine until a permanent solution is found.

When the image gets open in a new document , press Ctrl+A on that document and then press Ctrl+C then go to the document you want the image in and press Ctrl+V
Regarding your question about restoring default PS settings back , I don't know of any exact way but I think this will work:

create a new user account and in that account , run PS . Now go back to your old account and replace this directory :

C:\Documents and Settings\Old User\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop

with this one:

C:\Documents and Settings\New User\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop

both these folders are hidden so you must enable the 'Show hidden file & folders' option first :wink:
