i have download it the black vista theme for my XP... i want to keep the same vista theme just change the color of it...when i right on my desktop go to properties then Display Properties....
(Appearance)  by Color scheme.. Aero green or blue dont work when i click apply how can i fix this???  and also when i open folders up its all black of couse i just want to make the black a little lighter how can i do this?  or if there is something i can download for it idk remeber i want to keep my same theme

It's not as easy in XP to change the color of a theme as in earlier versions of Windows , you will need StyleBuilder to make any changes in the theme , you may also be required to have a graphic editing program like Adobe Photoshop I would rather recommend you to use some other visual style , you can find a lot of them at deviantart.com
the same suggestion is recommended for icons
