hi!

 

Please someone help me, how to create fade effect for a picture's layer or for a bigger part of a picture....

 

so...   i mean how can i make that, to make the dragon's head fadeing if the background is not just one colour.... Here's a bit rough sketch about it...

So like that gradient in the picture, i like to fade the dragon head but i want to keep the backgroung....

 

If anyone knows that, please tell me!

First of, two things.
1. Topic titles like yours ('HEEELP!!!!';) aren't giving any information. :angel: I hope that you agree that a topic title like 'Question regarding fade effect' is much more helpful. :oui:
2. You posted in the wrong place. Lots of topics of you have been moved before. We don't expect you to post 100% of your topics in the right place, but I have the feeling that you're not looking very careful. You've posted in the Graphic Tutorial section, although this is obviously not a tutorial. I'll move this topic to the right section. :oui:

 

Then for your question. The head and and background image should be on separate layers. Then make a selection from the head, by clicking with your left mouse button, while holding left control, on the thumbnail image of the head layer. Now select the gradient tool you want to use for fading and draw it in the direction you want. :smile: Hope that helped you, and if you've got any more questions you can ask them here.
