| simplyfish Profil: New Penguin | Hi When removing the background of fish photos, sometimes I have trouble with the fins as they are part solid and part transparent, the rest of the fish is fine but not the fins. What is the best way to retain the fins but no blue (water). thanks | |
haran Profil: Penguin | First of all, I think the best way of taking the blue away is photoshop. Go to Select>Color Range. Then, select the blue portion of the picture and slide the 'Fuzziness' until what you want to select is all blue. With this selection, you can either delete it or change the color of the 'blue part' to match the fish by going to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation and colorize it. Then if you don't have the right color, make sure the 'blue part' is still selected, make a new layer, go to the paint brush tool, change the opacity to the paintbrush to around 53%, use the color picker to pick the right brown from the fish, and paint over the selected area. Remember to play around. Then, if you want(with the par still selected), get the eraser tool(put it around 60%) and erase the selected area on both layers. That's the most important part. Hope this helps.
simplyfish Profil: New Penguin | I had a little play with it but not too much success, any tips on improoving.
haran Profil: Penguin | When you go to Select>Color Range and select the blue, leave it selected and got to image>adjustments>Hue and saturation. Then click the colorize button. Change the values until u get your desired color(which is prob brown). Then if i want to make it a little transparent, get your eraser tool, set down the opacity and erase the selected parts.
