Can anyone share how to add text that bends around the plantet or even rings around the planet?

For a text around the planet I would use the pen tool. Have you got any idea how this works? Make a selection of your planet layer, then with one click you can turn it into a path. After this just grab your text tool and the text will follow the path!

For the rings, that won't be that easy. Probably you can try to create a path using the pen tool which looks like a ring?

Try the text one first and report how it goes. If you got any questions I'm sure there are several people who can help you.

In Photohsop , you can use 'Spherize' filter for making the text look wrapped around the planet , a result similar to the image given below can be achieved through this filter

For making circles , you can use Pen-Tool or Selection techniques

Yup that's right Asher, I was actually thinking as text on top of a circle like in this image:

So now you can even choose what kind of text effect you would like.

The one with the rings and swirls are actually looking very good! Please try not to make double posts in the future though. Except if there has been a long period of time between the posts.
