I've quest many people about it, but i get no answer... don't know why. Now I choose this way, hope someone can help

My Question: - How could I make the background of this Picture:

I don't wont now know how to make the pingu. and the wheel (not yet ) but how to make the blue background with the Crystal Style... I need it, to make a Splash screen for Yahoo Messanger and AIM (and sometimes for something else )

I have at home:
- Photoshop CS (8.0.1)
- Paintshop Pro
and if you use more applications, then tell me

Yes, but wait a little ! I am not a machine ! I have the Crystal Shell Pack to update, Crystal dlb to update...etc... And .... my studies

maybe if dlb got the time, he (or she, but guess its 'he' could make a tutor on how to make this penguin (just the penguin).  If u know how to make kudzu (that's the name of the penguin, the fat one isnt tux   ), u can eazilly make some other things yourselves

To make the background I'd use 3ds Max then only hard bit would be the materials.

Photoshop is a shareware.
there is no freeware version of it.

You can also try Paint Shop Pro (shareware too) or look at the freewares

it is said (almost) as powerful as photoshop
And it is free

I've tryed it, but when you are used (adicted) to Photoshop, it hard to change

but maybe you are able to do the switch to the Gimp

I've just used it 2 or 3 times...
but it's gonna be easier for someone who is already used to photoshop, than someone who's not used to any graphic programs

I´m really a Flash MX type of guy but lately since I can only use static images on my web just got Photoshop CS 2 and since I´m by no means a Photoshop pro just looking up some good tutorials like this site has to offer
