Asher Genius is not born , it is made.... Profil: Moderator | That's very easy sosoe222 , just make curves with Pen Tool fill them with brush stroke of 1-2px and merge all the layers , give layers Outer Glow . That's it PS Topic to be moved
| |
sosoe222 Profil: Penguin Pro | Can't make those curves well, damn it Can you post your outcome, please?
OsquiGene Profil: Penguin | To make the curves use this tool (red circle) and this adjustments for the glow (I dont know the english for "superposition" but it's 8th of the list ): Sorry for my english
| |
Nagaya Profil: Penguin Pro | i think superposition is overlay.
k_millio Profil: Penguin Pro | Actually, it's Screen

I came up with this:

OsquiGene Profil: Penguin | Nice, but the lights on the background are maybe to straights .

cellblade Profil: Penguin | looks kinda easy... i`m going to try it... edit: i either use a too thick or too thin brush... what size should i use for the brush?
sosoe222 Profil: Penguin Pro | Mmmm... brushes... good idea... [EDIT] Still can't make it... what did you exactly do with that pen tool?
Nagaya Profil: Penguin Pro | Thanks for the help k_millio ASHAR: good result.

A brush of 2px size would be suitable for the effect .

First make a curved path with the Pen Tool now Select Brush Tool and pick a hard circular brush of 2px radius set the foreground color to white create a new layer with the new layer selected , press A to pick the 'Direct Selection Tool' , right-click on the path and select 'Stroke Path' , select Brush from the list but do not enable the 'Simulate Pressure' option . Good Luck

i like to make high resolution pics... like 1280x1024 and 2px is kinda small for that... i can`t get the outer glow to work either... it`s either to small or to big... photoshop is a powerful utility ... but i still have much to learn... edit: i came up with this... any advice?... `cause i don`t like it... edit: sorry for the long post... but i made another version... i used a bigger brush and came up with this... edit:last one i promise... can anyone tell me wich one is the best and how to improve it?
sosoe222 Profil: Penguin Pro | Really cool, mate! I will try out myself later! I like all your wallpapers here! You're getting better & better!
Nagaya Profil: Penguin Pro | your results are good cellblade it is just a matter of how you draw your curves, and you can get very good results.
pspgamer Profil: Top Penguin | Great results, Ashar, What blend mode that you used in the outer glow?
cellblade Profil: Penguin | a bit of "off topic question"... why is it called lightning bolt... because lightning has straight lines...and hard angles... this is more with curves... i call it some type of aurora... but it`s only my opinion...
OsquiGene Profil: Penguin | For this wallpaper i'v used a 2px & 1px brushes

|
I have used 'Soft Light' and 'Overlay' as blending options for the Outer Glow , actually the glow of the curves is a complex fusion of different layers having different Blendiing modes
sosoe222 Profil: Penguin Pro | Background terrible is ASHAR, what gradient you used for background? Anyway, comment the stripes only please: It does look terrible in browser because it resizes the image, so I suggest you to save it and view it
cellblade Profil: Penguin | the stripes are good... i will post a screenshot with my blending settings of the glow because i guess that you need some help there also... edit: this worked for me... if its not good enough... just play with the spread, range and size... until u get the effect you want...
sosoe222 Profil: Penguin Pro | That's what I actually done
sosoe222 Profil: Penguin Pro | Here's improved version: Sorry for the dimensions. I made it for my widescreen monitor. Thank you all for spending time here
