- Go to Select -> Modify -> Contract, here you can type the border size you'd like.

i am sorry i am not able to convey myself properly. i just want to make a custom shape with no fill. ONLY THE BORDER. edit: GOT IT!! 1. make the custom shape, with only the paths.
