| GmT-Curwen Profil: New Penguin | Hi, i recently found this forum n it really amazed me, your tuts rule! I have a request...there's something i always wanted to do with photoshop n i n ever knew how... Did u see, on the Wallpapers Gallery, the images that are shinny, with complicated twists and that kind of stuff? (like Ice Queen, Aeris, Ghost and Vista BAll 2 background). What i want is to learn how to do it with photoshop (or whatever they use to do that) without using brushes made by someone else...i would appreciate a lot if someone could help me. Sorry if my english is not pretty good, im from Argentina =) | |
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Hey and welcome to the forums! Although this is not the place to introduce yourself, we won't wine this time because you've got questions too. Shiny images are called Crystalized images here. You should use a white to transparent gradient for this. The Tux tutorials can give you an idea on how to use it. G1 Tux tutorial - G2 Tux tutorial - TinyTux tutorial. Good luck! Edit: your signature is too big!
GmT-Curwen Profil: New Penguin | But how do they do that? they first do a line with no lights and shadows and crystalize some parts? How do the efect of the lines mixing or crossing? Thx a lot anyway, it helped very much ^^
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | If you could give me a sample image, it would be easier to explain. But for crystalize, they use Gradient Tool. White to transparent -> Linear Gradient -> Put it somewhere on your object.
-Shift- Profil: Big Penguin | the white to transparent gradient is probably the best thing you can use
