I want to make a crystal reflection effect for screen shots of web pages, like seen below

If you know a tut or you your self can help, please do : )

 

p.s. the crystalized image does not have to look like it has been tilted around the y axies like that one

i might not know how to cuz i havent tried reflections :lol:

 

but you can check out Good-tutorials.com

 

and look in the PhotoShop section, and search "Reflection"

 

theres some good links there :biggrin:

nearly, im just try to figure out how to use the gradient on the flipt part. The rest is easy lol

Here is a mini tutorial.

 

1. Open your image in Photoshop

 

2. Open a new document - 800x600 pixels should do the trick.

 

3. Drag and drop your image that you opened onto the new document.

 

4. Then adjust it to the size, e.g

 

5. Duplicate this layer and name it reflection.

 

6. Go to Edit>Transform>Flip Vertical

 

7. Move the layer so it fits nicely under the first

 

8. Now click 'Add Layer Mask' and then pick the Gradient Tool (G)

 

9. Now on the canvas draw a line from the middle, down or up, depending on what your Foreground and Background colours are.

lol, i still don't understand the gradient part. Also, where is layer mask?

 

ooo i got it yey, worked it out partly my self lol
