Make sure the right colors are selected. Make sure the occapacity stands on 100%. If you could add a screenshot of your problem, including your gradient settings, it will surely help us!  

its mine  

try to select the exact area you want to apply the gradient to using the lasso tool
and zooming in alot may also help

its not that hard acctually
maybe reading other tuto's and experimenting may help

I don't think that you understand who made the DJ Tux.  It's not Gruzz nor me or most others.  You simply can't grab images and stick them on your DA, it's copyright.

Are you taking about making this kind of gradient?

I used photoshop.

1. Layer one painted with bucket tool with blue color or color of your choice.
2. Layer two, white color
3. Add mask to layer 2
4. Draw a line using gradient tool across the direction you want.
 
* you can change the blue color to any color by using the bucket tool anytime to the layer 1

Nice little tuto  But the gradient he's talking about is a little more advanced.

geee....as you can see I am a total beginner.
But I am sure, trying and learning from the brilliant posts from here
and one day I can make some good gradients.  

Don't need to break out the letter form on me.  I didn't say that it wasn't good.  I said that what were dealing with in this topic is more advanced than that.  It's still good

I dont have alot of creations

So that gives you the right to upload others?  No.  There is no excuse for this

I agree 100% with Sparco.

Shark, I think if one is fond of some images then take inspiration and make on your own.
I suggest make use of this forum to ask people to help you make some.
