Hey, Im new. Wat free programs r good to make tux characters (sorry if my spelling is off).

Thanks a lot. Ill try both of them. I went to GLIMP website before but i didn't get how to download it. Ill try to downloading it though.

And if you just want to create a Tux and nothing else you can use Adobe Photoshop CS2 - Tryout Version.  It will give you the full version of CS2 but it's limited to 30 days.

^The suggestions above are good but Photoshop is much more powerfull and may acheive a better result.

Agreed Draginol, but if I remeber right, you can't save your work in the tryout version....

You can save your work in the tryout version, you must be mistaken with another program acdrocks.

I don't think you understood my term of speech.  What I mean't was that I thought it sounded odd that you couldn't save, therefor I said, 'I was going to say!' you know?  I wasn't talking about the fact that you said it before me

Okie dokie. Black Knight, you succeeded with downloading/installing any of these programs and creating a Tux?

Well I did use get Paint.Net i didn't bother to try GIMP because the downloading process was strange. Im goin to get photoshop trial when i get the time it took a long time so i stoped in-between. Plus how do u get a image like ASHAR had "A" as his/her's.

If you want to set an avatar for yourself, click on 'My Controls', which is near the top of the screen. Click 'Personal Options' -> 'Edit Avatar Settings'. You can choose one from the base galleries, give the link of an avatar you uploaded somewhere else, or upload your avatar at CrystalXP. Hope I could have been of any help to you.

Kind a wanna know how to make Tux's too. Don't really get how to do it. When you've downloaded one of those programs.. like how do I get the tux in too it and how do I do it ?
