| Xiaojoel Profil: New Penguin | Can anyone tell me where to get photoshop? which website?

uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | Adobe.com but you have to buy it... or get the trial. The most basic version, called Lightroom, costs $300. The standard version (which most people here use) costs $700. Finally, the Extended version costs $1,000.
So yeah... it's expensive. Only get it if you're seriously serious about it. ---------------

Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | You can usually find the standard version at places like Staples and Office Depot (maybe Best Buy) if you would like a physical copy. ---------------

optimalsupreme-ban Profil: Penguin | use photoimpact much better and for 79 us dollars u can do all what photoshop can do and more but better and faster
uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | I doubt it. Photoshop may be more expensive, but nothing beats it. Besides, PhotoImpact is just for editing and improving photographs.
Photoshop can do infinitely more than PhotoImpact ... or any other image editing software. ---------------

wRing the ebst oen out the is Image Fx for the Amiga.I have tried them all what are u on -a no look narrow minded view -photoimpact can also make things -jsut becasue its more expensive doesnt mean its the best- remeber this corel had a chance to buy out adobe thats right-but bought out ulead as its better then photoshop. Plus I can use any and all plugins for adobe-add to that that 1000s of plugins are already given with photoimpact. if you want to take an extra steps to do things and then not as good or even take longer to do it or save and well anything else fine use adobe- i make more money by having it done before u and better-time is money. uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | OK, first, try using punctuation ... it's very difficult to read your posts.
Second, if you think PhotoImpact is better than Photoshop, why don't you give us samples of some digital art created with PhotoImpact ... and we'll show you how Photoshop is better at it.
And yes ... if something is more expensive, it usually is better. ---------------

Gruzz Profil: Moderator | When I look at the website I can only see a Windows XP and Windows Vista package. It would be wise for a graphic design company to put out a Macintosh version as well. I see a few basic photo enhancements tools, but as far as I can tell it's easier done in Photoshop. Also a lot of tools that you can find in Photoshop aren't available even in the preview. Perhaps it is a very nice application for people who just want to brighten up their pictures, but I do not think that graphic designers would like to replace Photoshop with this program.
truth ------------------------- Profil: Top Penguin | If not the same, the GIMP is really something around PS. all it needs is more support of devs and end users. The only thing in PS that outshines everything else is the "Blending options" capability. Here's what Mr. Wiki Says: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_ [...] cs_editors I also found Project Dogwaffle to be interesting too. Good bye friends.

uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | The GIMP is a very good application, no doubt -- but Adobe has had much more experience ... been around for nearly two decades. In a few years, perhaps GIMP will be better than Photoshop, but for now, I do not think anything can beat Adobe's Creative Suites. Asher Genius is not born , it is made.... Profil: Moderator | There's no doubt that PS rules when it's seen on "jack of all trades" basis but it's not best for every task. For instance , PS can be used to make icons to some extent but , since it offers raster-images , one will find some flaws in it while drawing small icons.
I believe that PS is popular because of it's GUI , I've seen many guys doing amazing icons in Xara Xtreme , a software that was unknown to me before I saw Iconka's amazing videos.
In all , a person who masters a software other than PS can do most of the things that can be done on PS , however , PS seems to me the best choice for part-time designers and amateurs ---------------

Also the choice of many full-time designers. No doubt that there are some other interesting pieces of software as well!
