I've installed Chrom on my computers :p They've blocked .exe's :(

You, uh, boot the computer... then press F8 or F9 or F10 (varies) on the BIOS screen and chose your boot device... USB/HDD. (It'll say what button to press at the bottom) and have the USB connected before you boot.

That's how I run Puppy Linux :D

I'm gonna say no. And how are you supposed to use the computer if they block .exe's? I mean, everything is an exe, Explorer, etc. Unless you mean they block specific programs...

Since we can't install things, people often put stuff on a flash drive and then put something in the K Drive (the town-wide drive for students and teachers) under an obscure name. That is how we got Mario on there, and many other games. My math teacher was playing Descent in that manner. It was pretty funny.

I just watched Robin Hood from 1938. Surprisingly, it's in colour. American English was so much easier to understand back then. Or maybe it's because they're pretending to be in England, but I don't think so. I've seen plenty of American films from the 30's and 40's, and I think American accents were much better back then! Personally, I like them better than even British accents. There's too much slang now, there's no structure or form. :(

And is it odd if I found the lead actress to be erm ... hot? I mean, she is from the 30's ... but still so pretty ... :loveit:

As for the color, it was probably restored. As for the English, well... that's probably because it more closely follows the grammar that you have been learning.

As for insurance, I'm not sure about insurance, but I know you can get extended warranties. It may also depend on the school. I wouldn't know because I'm not in college.

On a side note, has anybody noticed that Firefox's spell checker is horrible?

They block .exe's completely, and the programs we use (explorer.exe, macromedia, office) are, presumably, on an exception list :/

For us, since most of the programs are on the network, whenever you try to open a Microsoft Office program, and if you don't hit Cancel on the auto-config window, it won't open because it can't locate L:/blahblah.

It's pretty funny, the librarians think the blue screen of death is when Microsoft Word opens, however it doesn't open up your document or a new one. What's even worse is the fact that it isn't even blue, it's gray!

See, every time we go to the library, the librarians give us a lecture on using databases (it's so annoying).

Well, this one said databases, with the bold 'a' like baaa/sheep noise.

Nope. It says it was originally filmed in Technicolor.

Not the grammar, the pronunciation.

And tell your librarian to shove it. I remember ours was also so irritating. She would sermonize us for not using the library. For the very few ones that did actually read (e.g. me), she'd tell us we were pompous little princesses for actually buying books when we could get them for free from the library. I pointed out that the library's books were torn, overused, and occasionally smelling of BO; and that their selection was crap. She stared at me for ten minutes. Creepy.

And Quantum Physics takes years (or at least months) to be taught.
