That even happens when I abbort an installation. :s Overall, I do actually like Windows 7. It's a good upgrade from Vista.
 
I've got Ubuntu running for the first time in my life. Dual boot with my Windows 7 desktop machine.

So for most of last night our internet was almost unusable (browsing was horribly slow, things downloaded at about 20 KBps). Turns out AT&T was just doing upgrades... Maybe they should have used the "System Notification" system they have... Especially since it only really targeted my state.
 
But I'm back!
 
And Gruzzlie Bear, Vista did that as well with installations, but I just live with it.

I tried that USB ports just don't have enough power. I even plugged in my ihome AC plug it spun 10x faster but no hope it still over heats in half an hour.

Probably the same question applies for me, My notebook get hotter & hotter till I cannot even touch the Touch pad or key pad  
What I do is to turn on my pedestrian fan but no help, I don't think cooling stands will help me either

Nope voiding the warrenty is modify the system with parts not certified or something. Changing the fan would void it I think though.

What my opinion is to check whether warranty is available & proceed if not

Always check the terms and conditions! I'm sure we've all see the "warranty void if removed or broken" stickers on our products.

I removed the Vista sticker (who would want that on their laptop) and the core 2 duo. I also had a clicking noise in the fan opened the laptop up found a small piece of lead from a mechanical pencil! I also checked my ram out its slow Hynix Ram or something never heard of the company its self. I took one Ram Module out and booted up with just 2 gbs and its booted FAST! I mean the best boot time I've see from this thing! The desktop with icon Wireless started faster and all. The boot time was around 45-50 seconds wasn't paying any real attention (was working on other computer as well) I was impressed.

You should keep the COA on the computer, Microsoft does require it to be affixed to the equipment.
