| reibies Profil: New Penguin | Today has been a complete disaster. It's the weekend no school and all but it's been so boring. I've tried to do some stuff but I lose interest in them. I tried playing on my Wii and DS but I got tired of them after 20 minutes, tried to design something new but ended up with "designer's block", I've been on Gaiaonline all day and there was really nothing to do besides play Cards. And on top that this, I'm home from school until Tuesday... Hopefully the next two days won't be like today.
Does anyone else have days like this? If so, please do tell. I love hearing and learning from people's experiences and such.

uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | Pretty much each day of my life is as you say. Nothing to do. Played Blackjack in the morning ... won US$ 33,500 in fake money ... watched the Disney Channel ... watched a few sitcoms ... messed around with Photoshop. Sometimes, I read a classic. Helps pass time. ---------------

ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Happens all the time. I do something, but I just can;t be bothered so I give up. I start designing, or drawing, and meh I just can't. go on the computer, for the first time ever, seems nothing to do. Usually I just sit around watching the day go past... slowly... so slowly...

poiru Profil: Moderator | I guess everyone has these once in a while.. But why not go out to "hang out" with your friends. You know, just to be outside and talk. Doing nothing.. Message edited by poiru on 02-15-2009 at 03:40:09 PM ---------------

ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Personally because all my friends are either doing the same and can't be bothered to go out, or because I've already been out with them, we go cinema at about 12, walk around town for a while afterwards then wander off home and sit around in the late afternoon, entering the long dark teatime of the soul.... Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | I recently started playing Mario and Luigi Partners in Time again, and it really brought back all the great memories. Great game
One thing you could always do is see what is going on where you live, and check it out. Today we went down to East Haddam, CT. Hoped to see some eagles as there is some big eagle stuff right now at this time of year.
It was kinda interesting today... you see, my grandpa used to go down every year, however he died a few years ago. And this morning, there was a hawk sitting on the railing of our deck for about an hour, just there. It was pretty special for my father. ---------------

reibies Profil: New Penguin | I would have hung out with my friends but they were too busy being with their "lovers". That's fine with me. I couldn't go anywhere cause my car is in the shop until Thursday -__-.
Tanshin- I'm sorry to hear that. At least you can remember the fun times you had with him.
Everyone else- Wow I'm guessing it's a designer's/artist's thing. xP
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | It seems that everyone is kinda at a standstill. Ghost is having a block, I have a block, etc. Message edited by Tanshin on 02-17-2009 at 03:34:12 PM ---------------

reibies Profil: New Penguin | A clock? You mean something like a schedule... or not?
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | It took me a little while to figure out what you meant there. I meant to say block. ---------------

We're sending cryptic messages to help you spend your time Tanshin.
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | What, figuring out what other people are saying? Or go get a clock?
Unfortunately I was at Ikea yesterday, not today ---------------

| |
reibies Profil: New Penguin | Oh block for a second there I was thinking "what does a clock have to do with anything?" xP
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Since we're in Off Topic Discussion thread here anyway..
Did you know that the IKEA brochure is, after the bible, the most read book around the world! Thumbs up for their marketing team.

Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | It is an amazing store!
They have food, furniture, accessories. It is different because they have a set path laid out in the store (with shortcuts of course), and they lay out their items in layouts. It isn't like one of those places where you can't try out the beds, sit in the chairs, etc.
They want you to try it out.
Plus they have an As Is area. I got my dresser there. We got 40% off since it was a mix of a cherry wood and oak. And it looks good too!

poiru Profil: Moderator | IKEA is great, but they use child labor (and I guess they can't really do much about that.. ) Message edited by poiru on 02-18-2009 at 07:39:52 PM ---------------

Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | Meh, I'm sure they could. However, with the way things are now, I don't see anybody stopping the use of child labor. ---------------

| |
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | I'm afraid (almost?) all companies can or could be linked to child labour at one stage or another. Hopefully IKEA changed their behaviour on this after they had been 'caught'.
reibies Profil: New Penguin | IKEA uses child labor? O_O
Not IKEA... why would they venture that far?
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | That was my reaction as well. ---------------

| |
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Looks like they have taken a clear point on this now. Link.
