After having launched mid-december
the version of Picasa 3 in 38 languages for Windows, Google take the opportunity to put a stop to rumors, which ran since a few months, at
MacWorld 2009 (learn
this article) and
suggest downloading for Apple a beta version of their famous software of management, retouching and sharing of digital photos.
Well, now,
you can download for free Picasa on your Mac OS X.
For the moment,
Picasa is in beta version and only in English, this version is relatively similar with
the one of Windows, but some functionalities like geotagging and webcam capture aren't functional yet, they will be coming soon.
Moreover, Picasa imports the library of its competitor
iPhoto, of which the new version should be presented this week at MacWorld.
